Been quite some times since I last updated this blog. So I am back with some updates..
Some of you might received this email, but I put it up just incase some of you people never received.

Dear Members,

Our last dance class at Raffles Place, is on 13th Aug 08, Wednesday. It's been 6 years at Keck Seng Tower and for those who have been with us all these years, you might want to pop by and have a small gathering with us at about 8.30pm on the 13th Aug.

Our new studio at SMU will only be ready at the end of August due to some delay in renovation. Please refer to www.studiowu.com for regular updates and announcement of our opening date at SMU!

In the mean time, our instructors will be rockin' East Point branch. Check out our attached temporary class schedule and our 3+3 promotion at East Point Branch.

We appreciate your kind understanding and we can't wait to pump up the beat at SMU!

Dear Members,

There will be some changes to the class schedule with effect from 28th April 2008.Due to escalating rental costs, we are terminating our lease agreement with the landlord for Studio C at Keck Seng Tower Level 3 with effect from 28th April 2008. Therefore, there will be some classes that will be temporarily suspended due to capacity constraint. Dance classes at East Point on Saturdays will be cancelled, as we would like to reserve the weekends for Kidz courses.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and seek your kind understanding in the above matter.

hi me again. hahaha. confirmed updates for the auditions!

they're held on this Wednesday, 19 March at 7pm (not 7.30pm anymore). lock, wack, house & pop in this respective order. (can die..) so you learn the respective choreos first, they'll give you a super minimal time to practice a bit, then you start the auditions. (so, same format as hiphop/jazz ones.) think it's 2 by 2, haha. should be based on the turnouts though, yep.

no change for who's judging what genre.

uh.. oh. the hiphop/jazz ones will commence after the funk ones. (: yep.

i think there'll be freestyling involved. definitely for popping but i'm not confirmed for locking & house. none for wacking! at least i'm quite sure. lol. but it shouldn't be too long, maybe about an eight only. yea. please don't complain cause it's annoying & anyway most auditions anywhere require you to freestyle (:

if you get in, everyone can have a max of 3 items. confirmed.

so that's all. have fun & relax for the auditions cause it's just not good to be stressed. =D

Sheila & Bryan said they'll be conducting another round of auditions on Wednesday, 19 March at 9.15pm (i think i can't remember haha). it's for those who wants to audit again & those who couldn't make it for the previous two rounds of auditions. yea so just call Keck Seng if you guys want then they'll tell you like what to do (think have to fill up another form again..?). yep.

& on the same day there'll be LOCKING AUDITIONS WHOOHOO. 7.30pm. NOT SURE IF WE HAVE TO FREESTYLE but heck. lol. conducted by Michael (duh.) i'm not sure as to how you sign up for this audition but i think just give your name first. yea. Wacking auditions are after Locking ones & it'll be conducted by Bryan. just so you know =D

didn't mention anything about Popping so i'm not too sure if there'll be one & if so, when. heh. should be have la maybe Michael hasn't decided yet? \=

ticket sales for the recital will start in April! though the website didn't state how much they'll cost but just take note, yea? (: 7/8 June @ NUS UCC Theatre!

Wu Zone Dance Recital 2008


Dear Friends ssg,

2008 will another exciting year for Studio Wu!

There will be Studio Wu Dance Recital on the 6th and 7th June 2008 and the opportunity to perform will be open to all.

You will get to work with our in-house instructors and also external instructors as well!

For those who are interested to be part of the upcoming production, all you need to do is fill up the attached forms and send it to Studio Wu @ Keck Seng Tower by 29 February 2008!

The audition will be held during the first week of March!
We will try our best to assign you your preferred item but the production team reserves the right to make adjustment accordingly

Do note that there will be a Participation fee of $20(Members)/ $30(Non members) per item included for registration, training and logistics. (The fee collected is not for profit purpose and instructors are participating out of their passion)

Please find attached the registration form and the closing date for registration is 29 February 2008.
*the registration form is in my email. So those interested please either sms me or leave a message in the tagboard. If not I think you can get it from counter as well.*

Locking Course Level 1
This course covers basic moves and techniques used in the style of locking.
Students will be taught on how to move to the funky beats and learn how to groove.

Students will learn the proper names and steps in the vocabulary of Locking and how to freestyle Locking when dancing!

Some techniques include soul dance, Wrist Twirl, Lock, Scooby Doo, Skeeter Rabbit and many more!

Popping Course Level 2
The second level covers more in-depth techniques covered in the first stage, a more thorough look at the dance style.

Jazz Course 1 (Beginner Level)
